These lab courses -- Reading,
Writing, Math -- are computer-assisted instructional programs for distance learning
students. They are designed to improve students' reading, writing, or math skills, and to
prepare students for the TASP test, more advanced course work, and occupational
proficiency. TASP test scores are used for initial placement in each course. |

Each course requires the
following:
Minimum of 15 hours on assignments including
ISI computer exercises at either student's home computers or the nearest off-site campus.
Students will be signed in and out at off-sites or will keep a log of their study times at
home.
Meet with GCC lab instructor at least 3 times
during semester:
-- Week 1: Introduction
-- Week 8: Mid-term
-- Week 15: Final Exam
If necessary, turn in any required written
work (such as English essays) to off-site campus coordinator.
