Follow SOP. Your work will be easier if the patient is able to sit
on a chair. Place overbed table in front of the patient. Fill the emesis
basin with warm, soapy water. Have the patient place the fingers into the
basin. Soak them for about 20 minutes. Add warm water as needed.
