ISI is the country's leading
developer of occupation-specific and workplace basic skills courseware for adults. We have
20 years of experience in providing computer-assisted instruction to educational
organizations.
ISI's software has been used extensively in schools,
community colleges, correctional facilities, vocational training centers, community-based
organizations, and in business and private industry.
In numerous settings, individuals who have used ISI
software, including those designated as "hardest to serve" in current
Welfare-to-Work efforts, have obtained higher than average job placement rates, retention
rates, and hourly wages. Here is a listing of some of our current projects:
| High Performance
Learning Project |
| ISI has recently been awarded a $4.9 million competitive
grant by the U.S. Department of Labor to operate, along with the National Association of Private
Industry Councils (NAPIC) and the American Association of
Community Colleges (AACC), an innovative, cost efficient program in which
Welfare-to-Work participants study ISI's Occupational Preparation Series at
job sites located in ten U.S cities. |

Start |
| With Union County College
in New Jersey, ISI is operating an educational and job training program for single
mothers. Participants in the project have been given laptop computers to take home, and
they access the ISI curriculum when it's most convenient for them. |
