Health Care

ISI offers two comprehensive courses in the area of Health Care: Health Care Worker and Nursing Assistant.

 
  HEALTH CARE WORKER:

This course provides skills instruction for entry-level positions in health care. Students will learn at their own pace while developing key competencies. The materials have been developed specifically for the adult or young adult learner, who will see direct applications for the instruction in a real-world working environment.

Throughout its 20 chapters, emphasis is placed on gaining a full understanding of key industry terms, as well as the steps required to complete important tasks. The course thoroughly covers a health care worker’s skills -- from applying for a job as a health care worker to skills in working with people. Undergoing a series of practice and scored questions, the learner will be able to define all key terms and identify the steps in all tasks required for a health care worker.

  CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT:

This course provides the skills instruction required for entry-level positions as a Certified Nurse Assistant. Students will learn at their own pace, while developing key competencies. The materials have been developed specifically for the adult or young adult learner, who will see direct applications for the instruction in a real-world working environment.

The curriculum is divided into 21 chapters that thoroughly cover a nursing assistant’s skills -- from applying for a job as a nurse’s assistant to skills in working with people. The learner will identify the definitions of all key terms and the steps in all tasks required for a nurse assistant. As a result, this course has been fully integrated into several state-sponsored nurse assistant programs.
