Foundations
of College Mathematics
This multi-media,
computer-assisted instructional program is designed to help
improve the mathematics skills of students preparing for college
entrance. The course provides instructional lessons and reinforcements
in the content areas required for most incoming college students.
ISI developed the
Foundations of College Mathematics Series based on:
- A review of
the New York State syllabus as outlined in Three Year Sequence
for High School Mathematics Courses published by the Regents
examination in Integrated Mathematics;
- A series of
textbooks used in New York State school districts; and
- The recommendations
of the National Council of Mathematics Teachers.
The program generates
questions based on carefully designed algorithms, allowing
the program to generate an unlimited supply of exercises.
Students progress at their own pace.
Quizzes and tests
will measure the student’s mastery of nine (9) skill
areas:
- Analytical
Geometry
- Algebra
- Combinatorics
- Euclidean Geometry
