The
Unique “Employer-Friendly” Job-Matching Tool
Career Ticket is
ISI’s one-of-a-kind Web-based labor-exchange system
designed to work within the one-stop system infrastructure.
It provides youth, dislocated workers, adult job seekers,
employers and local workforce development staff with efficient
and effective technology for the employment search and hiring
process.
Based on a low-cost,
self-help job service strategy, Career Ticket uses the Web
to mediate between job seekers, employers, and employment
and training entities. It is designed to provide a very rich
experience for the self-service job seeker, while allowing
for simple and inexpensive staff intervention.
· For employers,
Career Ticket provides a full job-matching service. It gives
each employer an account with the ability to post jobs, search
and save their own selection of candidates’ resumes.
These accounts can be set up for internal use only -- or as
a public electronic recruitment center for each employer customer.
· For job
seekers, Career Ticket provides access to a wealth of jobs,
communications, career information, on-line training and support
services. Job seekers have the ability to create up to five
resumes to target specific jobs or industries – and
then store, fax and e-mail the resumes through Career Ticket
from anywhere they have access to the Internet.
· For the
WIB and local employment and training program staff, Career
Ticket is uniquely customizable through the technology’s
capability to turn on and off services on an individual job-seeker
basis. Career Ticket provides a Web-based set of client tracking,
case management and customer service tools -- along with a
suite of built-in reports. Career Ticket will enable workforce
development agency management and staff to communicate more
effectively internally; share client service information;
and generate reports to help meet U.S. Department of Labor’s
WIA performance goals, as well as comply with State reporting
needs. Career Ticket also includes a powerful client tracking
and reporting system that enables workforce development staff
to operate as a “proxy” for any job seeker or
employer.
